Good Friday
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 KJV) Extended Reflection & Prayer: Good Friday is the day we pause to remember the greatest act of love ever displayed—the Son of God willingly laying down His life for us. The cross was not a defeat, but the doorway to victory. Every nail driven into His hands and feet carried the weight of our sins, every stripe upon His back bore our sickness, and every drop of blood shed was the price of our redemption. Lord Jesus, today we bow in reverence before Your sacrifice. We acknowledge that it was our transgressions that wounded You, our iniquities that bruised You, yet You bore them all without complaint. Thank You for the peace purchased at such a high cost, and for the healing that flows from Your stripes. May Your love soften our hearts, cleanse our spirits, and renew our minds. We pray for families burdened by pain—may they find healing in You. We pray for communities torn by strife—may Your peace reign among them. We pray for nations in darkness—may revival spring forth through the power of the cross. Let this Good Friday remind us that no sin is too great for Your mercy, no burden too heavy for Your grace, and no soul too lost for Your salvation. Amen.
