Living a Life of Open Hands
“Freely ye have received, freely give.” — Matthew 10:8
Living with open hands is a reminder that all we possess is a gift from God. When our hands are open, we are not clinging tightly to what we have, but instead we are ready to release blessings to others and receive fresh grace from the Lord. This posture reflects trust in God’s provision and a willingness to be used as a channel of His love.
Generosity is not only about money it includes our time, our talents, our encouragement, and even our forgiveness. Each act of open-handed living becomes a testimony of God’s goodness. When we give freely, we mirror Christ’s sacrifice and invite others to experience His grace.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessings You have entrusted to me. Teach me to live with open hands, ready to give freely and joyfully. Remove fear and selfishness from my heart, and let my generosity reflect Your love. May my giving draw others closer to You and bring glory to Your name.
