How God Builds His Work Part 2

Regardless of how much praying, fasting, and strategizing we may decide to do, storms are part of the things we will never be able to avoid as long as we are in this earthly dimension. Our Lord made this clear when he said: “In the world, you have tribulation, distress and suffering…” John 16:33 (AMP). We are in a spiritual battle against the power of darkness that rules this world; therefore,  an easy life, one without any challenge or disappointment, isn’t probable.

But as much as we cannot escape tribulations, the Word of the Lord provides a solution. Scripture says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.” When recession hits the marketplace, when hard times hit society, and when the power of darkness arises against our lives, it’s only the businesses, families, marriages, and dreams born of God that will overcome the world and its corruption.

Anything born from the flesh (human ambition, pride, and human wisdom) will not be able to stand when the storms come; therefore, your only assurance in life is to ensure that everything you do comes from God and not from the wisdom of your mind. In the parable that Jesus shared, only the house (business, ministry, marriage, career, etc.) built upon the rock (the word of God) was able to stand when the storm (economic crisis, marital struggles, pandemics, etc.) came.

Upon that same rock, Christ said, “…and upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 (KJV) This rock refers to the divine wisdom of God that can only be acquired through revelation. David was successful on the battlefield because he never confronted his enemies before inquiring from the Lord on what to do. His strategies in life and war never failed because they came from a place of revelation.

It’s easy to distinguish a ministry born from human ambition from that birth from divine revelation. While the coming battles will weaken anything that has human origin, they will strengthen a ministry that has God as it’s author.  The Bible says, “Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker” (2 Samuel 3:1 KJV).

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. Matthew 7:27 (KJV)

In anything you want to do in life, never act impulsively. Those who rely on human wisdom end up crushed and disappointed. To have a firm foundation in your industry, marriage, ministry, and life in general, stay in the presence of God until you get a clear revelation on how to build it. Seek the wisdom from above.
